Youth Coaching
What is youth coaching?
Coaching helps people to work towards their desired goals. It is different to counseling or therapy, in that it is more about preparing for the future than analysing the past. Coaching is practical and outcomes-focused, and equips the individual with powerful tools and effective strategies that they can use for the rest of their lives.
Youth coaching does this while factoring in the unique challenges young people face as they transition from child, to teenager, to a young adult. Mood swings, changing bodies, peer relationships, academic pressure, family dynamics and societal expectations - a rollercoaster at the best of times!
Approach
My approach
In my work with young people, I give them the space to express themselves freely. To feel safe, respected and valued. To be heard without judgment, comparisons or “shoulds”.
I use a values-based approach to form the basis of my coaching work. Our values represent what we believe in, who we would like to be and what we stand for in our life. By exploring and identifying a young person’s values, we can integrate those values into their plans - tapping into their motivation naturally and maintaining positive change into the future.
I work collaboratively with other Autism and Special Education Needs educators and doctors to ensure that the young person’s experience of support is harmonious and holistic.

Testimonials
Nathalie has inspired me to do the best to reach my goals. Her lesson will remembered long after the game is won. She have taught me about commitment perseverance, hope and the meaning of the word motivation, have taught to work in any adaptation. Thanks for all your thoughts.
Melbourne, Australia
Growing up, I turned to Nathalie many times for advice. I always felt heard and respected. She gave me the space I needed to process my feelings, to find motivation and strength on my own terms, and to become a more empathetic and open-minded adult.
Helsinki, Finland
As someone who struggles to put my thoughts into a structured format, Nathalie helped me find tools to take an idea from a thought to a structured piece of writing. While being a very effective tutor, she also found creative ways to personally make content relatable.

Dear Nat C, thanks so much for encouraging me to find my missing piece, and guiding me on how to get along with it.
